M4-Multifunctional Magnetic Molecular Materials
The driving goal of the M4 group is the preparation and study of Multifunctional Molecular Magnetic Materials. A broad objective, open to many possibilities, some of which are being intensively explored by different group members. An important area of research activity is focused on Molecular Nanoscience with the development of Molecular Magnetic Clusters ensambled in 1-d, 2-d and 3-d molecular structures. Another one is centered in the development of Multifunctional Magnetic Nanoparticles. Along this line, the group has developed a multifunctional synthetic nanoplatform for biomedical applications following proprietary technologies. Finally, the group is also interested in thermometry in the nanoscale, where it has developed a molecular self-referencing thermometer that is currently being explored to a variety of applications.
